Five Food Finds about Lemons

  • Lemon trees bloom and produce fruit year-round. Each tree can produce between 500 and 600 pounds of lemons in a year.
  • Add the juice of one lemon to an equal amount of hot water for an anti-bacterial gargle.

  1. Lemons are nice, but I do prefer key lime pie, and supposedly, the traditional Conch recipe looks almost the very same as a lemon meringue (but obviously, it won’t taste the same).

    1. Key lime is one of my favorites. We have to make do with lemons and limes from regions further south from us, though.

    2. Oh, sorry. Wasn’t trying to disparage lemon for the sake of lime.
      The only thing that Cimmy and I have locally for pie is mostly colder weather fruit. We did gooseberry again recently, as her folks have a gooseberry bush.

    1. Ooops – no, I generally don’t check Flickr that much, so feel free to page me here. The Skee-Ball was at Salem Willows State Park. There’s a row of arcades, ‘burger and clam shacks and ice cream shops there. They even have miniature golf!
